Within limits of delegated authority, the Editorial and Desktop Publishing Assistant will be responsible for the following duties: Competencies

Job - Specific Qualification Passing the United Nations specialized tests, i.e. grammar, verbatim, formatting and speed typing in Spanish is required. Work Experience At least three (3) years of experience in desktop publishing, including draft typing, copy editing, proof-reading and typographical layout or related area is required. Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, candidates must have Spanish as their main language with proficiency in spelling and grammar. Knowledge of English or French is required. Knowledge of another United Nations official language (Arabic, Chinese or Russian) is desirable. Assessment Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by competency-based interview.
