Why is voucher payable system a good internal control?Vouchers not only create an efficient system for making cash payments but also provide for critical aspects of internal control, including segregation of duties, documentation, division of authority and limiting access to cash.
What is meant by voucher in accounting?Any written documentation supporting the entries reported in the account books, indicating the transaction's accounting accuracy, can be referred to as a voucher. For example, a bill, invoice, receipt, salary and wages sheet, pay-in-slip counterfoil, cheque book counterfoil, or trust deed.
