How? by Debating for months on a Constitution. Also the success of the American Revolution and its ideas gave hope to people elsewhere for a better government. The U.S. Government set up a model democracy. It might have been easier for Americans than French to be the first to put the Enlightenment Ideas into action why? because the American were not surrounded by other countries with absolute rulers. It was easy to put them into action. The Magna Carta affected the English Bill of Rights and the declaration by introducing trial by jury, no taxation without representation and protection of the law.
