Cannot display the folder. microsoft office outlook cannot access the specified folder location 2007 –

I am using Outlook and also, try to give another user access to my root folder as none and Folder Visible. Based on my knowledge , if we wanted to access the sub folders in anyone of the users mailbox , we need to provide the same permission to the top information store of the mailbox otherwise sub folder will not be accessible. So providing the permissions only on the sub folder is not enough.

Same time permissions provided on the root folder of the mailbox will not get inherited to the sub folders on that mailbox. Finally we need to provide the same permissions separately on the top information store as well as on sub folder of that particular mailbox. When we share a folder with others, we need to grant Folder Visible permission on the root folder of the Exchange mailbox. If the folder is a sub folder, or even a sub-sub folder, then we need to grant permissions down the entire tree.

What this means is the ” Folder Visible ” permission that we set at the top of the tree needs to apply to each folder that we want to grant permissions to. Problem: I have created a Test folder under My mailbox and want to give another user access to the test folder as a reviewer. Steps followed: I followed your Instruction for granting Folder Visible Permission and in step 3: I have added the user who I want to give him as a reviewer access for Permission level and under Others, check the box called Folder Visible.
