The basic idea of the New Deal
The New Deal was a series of programs and projects instituted during the Great Depression by President Franklin D. Roosevelt that aimed to restore prosperity to Americans. When Roosevelt took office in 1933, he acted swiftly to stabilize the economy and provide jobs and relief to those who were suffering.

How did new products affect women's home life?
Women raised children and cooked and did other labor around the house, such as cleaning. With the market revolution, women wanted to work in places outside of the home, in factories and mills. "However, during this period of change, many ideals had stayed the same for women.
How did WW1 affect women's rights in the United States?
During WWI (1914-1918), large numbers of women were recruited into jobs vacated by men who had gone to fight in the war. New jobs were also created as part of the war effort, for example in munitions factories.
